Green Acres Park is a 41-home subdivision constructed in the early 1960s in the Green Acres neighborhood. It was developed by Leland Home Builders using aluminum-sided "maintenance free" house designs created by Knox Homes of Thomson, Georgia. Parts of each home were manufactured in Georgia and assembled on-site.

A typical Knox Home at Green Acres Park had three bedrooms and one bath and closets in each room with floor-to-ceiling folding doors. A large recreation room and "bonus room" made the floorplans flexible enough to accommodate different-size families.
