Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce is an organization made up of representatives of companies doing business in and around the city of Hoover.

Begun in 1977, the Hoover Chamber of Commerce was originally located in the Barbizon Building on Lorna Road.

Currently, the chamber counts 1,200 members throughout Hoover and surrounding areas of Jefferson and Shelby Counties.

The Chamber moved into new offices at The Centre at Riverchase Shopping Center at 1694 Montgomery Highway on October 11, 2007.

On January 17, 2008, the members voted to add the word "Area" to the name of the organization, to avoid confusion over membership requirements.
