Hoyt Bedingfield was the Finance Director for the City of Birmingham from 1986 until his retirement 1994. He began his career with the city in 1958. In 1985, while serving as Deputy Director of Finance, he was elected president of the Government Finance Officers Association of Alabama. After retiring he moved to Nolensville, Tennessee. He was succeeded by Mac Underwood.
