Hueytown Public Library is located at 1372 Hueytown Road in Hueytown. The library is a member of the Jefferson County Library Cooperative and was originally located in the lower floor of the Hueytown City Hall. In the 1980s the former Foodland grocery store building in the "triangle" between Hueytown Road and High School Road was renovated and the library was moved into the larger location, freeing up space for the Hueytown Police Department to expand at City Hall.
