In addition to its dining room operation, Icon will provide catering and room service to the Tutwiler.

The Icon Restaurant and Bar is a planned white-tablecloth restaurant to be located inside the remodeled Tutwiler Hotel. It will be operated by chef Geoffrey Slate and manager Alan Dobbs, formerly of Restaurant G.

The restaurant was originally scheduled to open for New Year's 2007, but construction problems in the 90-plus-year-old building caused delays. Opening is currently scheduled for late February 2007. During construction, Slate and Dobbs have provide catering and room service to the Tutwiler, which Icon will continue to do once it opens.
