'''J-R''' (born c. [[2000]]; died [[March 29]], [[2014]]) was a drug detection dog with the [[Irondale Police Department]].

J-R began working as a one-year-old and was assigned to Sergeant [[Kevin Pounders]]. In [[2006]] he was handed over to Sergeant [[Kyle Roberson]]. In addition to assisting Irondale police, he supported multi-agency operations with the [[FBI]], U.S. Marshals Service and neighboring jurisdictions. He also participated in police outreach programs at [[Irondale City Schools]].

J-R collapsed on Friday, March 28, 2014 from a burst tumor on his spleen. He was euthanized the following day.
