John Holladay was the coach for the Walker High School Vikings football team in Jasper from c. 2006 until 2013.

Holladay was involved in an on-field brawl with rival Cullman High School on August 30, 2013 after Cullman beat Walker 13-10 at Ki-Ro Gambrell Field. On September 3, Holladay resigned his position as football coach, but remained on administrative leave from his teaching position. Offensive coordinator Heath Brunner was named interim head coach.
