Kent's Magic City Diner was a home-style meat-and-three restaurant that opened in the late 1980s at 2201 3rd Avenue North. Owner Kent Griggs decorated the dining room with advertising memorabilia. He was unable to keep it open after an automobile accident in 1996, and the space was taken over by Payne White's Magic City Grille.
