Kings Inn (formerly Holiday Inn and Knights Inn) is a motel located at 1313 3rd Avenue North. T. G.'s Lounge is located in the building.

The 150-room Holiday Inn was developed in 1962 by franchisee Shades Crest Motels at a cost of between $1.5 and $2 million. It was designed by Holiday Inn's Memphis-based architect William Bond and built by the chain's own construction division with the help of local subcontractors.

The Knights Inn chain was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1974 by Cardinal Industries, a manufacturer of prefabricated building components. It was acquired by Hospitality Management Systems in 1991, by Cendant in 1995, and by Wyndham Worldwide in 2005, which moved the chain's headquarters to Parsippany, New Jersey. The Birmingham location was sold and now operates independently as "Kings Inn".

On February 21, 2008 Martez Bimbow was fatally wounded in a gunfight during an attempted robbery at the motel. In May 2010 Birmingham Fire and Rescue evacuated a portion of the motel after the owner discovered what may have been the remains of a meth lab in one of the guest room bathtubs. Another gunshot victim was found in a room at the motel in 2016.
