La'Shondra Hemphill, working as RyNea Soul, is a hip-hop producer and DJ who has been engaged as an artist-in-residence at the Alys Stephens Center. In 2012 she founded the Institute for Creative Arts which provides music education programs to area youth, including the "SheShock Hop Hop" program for girls.

Hemphill is on the board of Girls Rock Birmingham.
