Wilborn Lake is a 23-are artificial lake located just south of Chestnut Ridge near Brock Gap and east of the Elvira community inside the Hoover city limits in northern Shelby County. The Wilborn Lake Dam impounds Martin Brook above the Cahaba River at 396 feet elevation. It was constructed by Barney Wilborn's Wilborn Construction Company as an improvement to his 480-acre property.

The land around the lake is the site of a proposed 499-home Lake Wilborn subdivision developed by USS Real Estate and Signature Homes.
