Lawrence Whitten & Son was an architecture firm with offices on the 15th floor of the Bank for Savings Building. It was founded by Lawrence Whitten in 1950, and soon added his son, James. The partnership was is best known for its modernist designs, including the 18-story Bank for Savings Building in downtown Birmingham.

Lawrence Whitten died in 1968. His son continued the practice for a few years afterward.
