Lawson Field is a stadium operated by the Birmingham Park & Recreation Board, and is located at 5601 Oporto Madrid Boulevard South in the Eastwood neighborhood of the Crestline community. The stadium serves primarily as a football stadium for the Birmingham Public School System in the fall and as the practice field for the Birmingham Steeldogs. The stadium also served as the home field for the now-defunct Birmingham Steel Magnolias of the Women's Football Association in 2002-2003.

Of note is the stadium features an artificial turf playing surface featuring the Astroturf removed from Legion Field prior to the 1996 Olympics to accommodate olympic soccer. The hash marks at Lawson are to college measurements and not high school measurements as a result of its former use.
