The Golden Flake Legend of Birmingham Award is given annually by the organizers of the Birmingham Bowl. It honors a Birmingham resident, past or present, "for accomplishments which have brought recognition to the individual and to the Magic City itself." The award is presented at the team luncheon preceding each bowl game. In 2009 the naming rights to the award were sold to Golden Flake.
