The Legend of Birmingham Award is given annually by the organizers of the Papa Johns.com Bowl. It honors a Birmingham resident, past or present, "for accomplishments which have brought recognition to the individual and to the Magic City itself." The award is presented at the team luncheon preceding each December bowl game.
