The Fanaei Building was a 9,000 square foot event hall at 2209 1st Avenue North in the downtown Loft District.
The event hall, which opened in 2007 occupied the main level of the former Slater Sales building, which was purchased by Matthew Fanaei and his son, Kavon Fanaei.
The younger Fanaei planned to convert the third floor of the building into a loft, while the bottom floor, facing Morris Avenue, was home to Matthew's Bar and Grill.
The building was later purchased and redeveloped as Mercantile on Morris.
