Lime is a micromobility bikeshare and scooter rental service began operating in Birmingham in late 2022, under a Birmingham micromobility ordinance that was passed by the Birmingham City Council in February 2020.
Lime Micromobility, based in San Francisco, California applied for a license to operate after the departure of Gotcha bikes and scooters. The company plans to offer "zone-based pricing", and to distribute its green and white "Gen 4" e-bikes and scooters with swappable batteries.
