Melrose Ice Cream was an ice cream manufacturer and parlor operating in Birmingham from 1922 to the early 1970s.
The original plant was located at 1015-1019 26th Street North. Later the business operated from 2331 3rd Avenue North with counter service and a soda fountain.
Their slogan "Made its way by the way it's made" was also a trade mark of Grapico. In the 1950s, Melrose marketed "Mellorine" low-fat ice cream.
There was also a Turner's Melrose Ice Cream located at 2020 Bessemer Road in 1949 and another at 3036 Montgomery Highway in Homewood in 1955.
