The Mortimer Jordan Residence, also known as the Jordan House, is located at 2834 Highland Avenue.

Construction on the structure began in 1906 by Dr. Mortimer Jordan, Jr for his wife, Florence E. Mudd. Their child, Lucile Jordan was born in a bedroom of this residence.

The house was sold in 1928 to Tomlinson Cabell. Mortimer Jordan III told the children of Mrs. Cabell that there was a ghost in the house that came down from the attic every night at midnight.
