Myrtle Lee Tinsley is the daughter of Afton Lee, Sr and one of the largest property holders in Rosedale.

The Lee family has a long history in Rosedale, helping establish and lead the community. When her father was murdered in 1989, Tinsley became the executor and administrator of the Lee family's extensive holdings in Rosedale. She seeks to have many of properties rezoned as commercial, putting her in opposition of her sister-in-law, Adrienne Lee.

Tinsley moved out of Rosedale some years ago and now resides in west Birmingham. She maintains an office on 18th Street in Homewood for her clients to pay their rent. She is assisted by her son, William Edwards III.
