Williams played volleyball in college. She began her journalism career covering the Florida State Seminoles. She joined Al.com in 2014.

On her 26th birthday in 2015, Williams and her husband, Chasten were involved in an auto collision at The Park at Galleria Woods apartments in Hoover. According to Hoover Police Department investigators, Mr Williams left the scene on foot while Mrs Williams purchased gasoline and a lighter at a nearby convenience store and set a fire in the car.
