Neighborhood Housing Services of Birmingham is a non-profit organization, chartered in 1970, which helps individuals and families rehabilitate their credit rating, find and buy affordable housing. Jack Green was hired as CEO in 2013. Bea Tatum is chair of the board of directors. Verlene Hornbuckle manages the organization's homeownership center at 601 19th Street North.
