Newt's Restaurant (or Newt's Cafe) was an eat-in and drive-in restaurant that opened in August 1940 at 2826 18th Street South Homewood, when that street was part of Montgomery Highway in Homewood. The restaurant was owned by B. H. Thompson. It was open 24 hours, featured barbecue and fried chicken.

The restaurant was designed and constructed by Hugh L. Craig.
