The Night Flight Big Band is a jazz orchestra based in Birmingham, Alabama. The group, founded and directed by trumpeter / arranger Mart Avant, performs everey 1st and 3rd wednesday night at Ona's Music Room in Birmingham. The group recently recorded its first CD release, titled "SuperBlue - Eric Essix and the Night Flight Big Band," produced by painist Ray Reach.([1])
