Oak Grove Elementary School is a member of the Jefferson County School System located at 9000 Tiger Cub Trail, in Oak Grove near Oak Grove High School. The principal is Randy McCarty.
The original Oak Grove Elementary was destroyed by the F5 tornado that destroyed much of Oak Grove, Concord, Rock Creek, and surrounding areas on April 8, 1998. Students attended McAdory Elementary until the new school was built. When the new building opened, students from the former Alliance Elementary School were merged with Oak Grove Elementary. Though the school does not seem to have any official athletic teams, they are called the Tiger Cubs, because 98% of these students will wind up as Oak Grove Tigers.
