Octane is a gourmet coffee shop chain which was founded in 2003 by Tony and Diane Riffel in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2011 it merged with Birmingham's Primavera coffee roaster under the Fresh Hospitality umbrella.

The city's first Octane coffee shop opened in 2012 on Central Avenue in Homewood. The chain also announced a location in the Westin Birmingham at the Uptown entertainment district near the BJCC.
