OmegaCon

OmegaCon was a science fiction and fantasy convention held March 14-16, 2008 at the Sheraton Birmingham. Shaun Knopf was the convention president

The program featured eight simultaneous program tracks, including Celtic, Literary, Star Wars, Gaming, Paranormal, Art, Hard Science, and Music. The Celtic track will overlap with Birmingham's St Patrick's Day celebrations.

Celebrity guests included Peter Mayhew, Kevin Sorbo, Richard Hatch, Ray Park, Chase Masterson, Yaphet Kotto, Suzi Lorraine, Rena Owen, Veronica Cartwright, Bill "Splat" Johnson, Julie Caitlin Brown, and Patrick Burns.

George Takei and The Ghost Hunters canceled their scheduled appearances.
