Phil Dodd

Phillip Dodd (born c. 1954) was a police office and the Chief of the Homewood Police Department. He was named Interim Chief on September 23, 2007 after Burke Swearingen announced his resignation. On November 27 the Homewood City Council named Dodd, who joined the department in October 1976, its permanent chief.

Dodd turned in a retirement request on February 1, 2011, effective March 1, after he was stopped for erratic driving in Clanton. No charges were filed in that case.
