Powder Plant Road (Jefferson County Road 47) is a north-south thoroughfare in western Bessemer and part of McCalla.

Its northern end connects with Johns Road (Jefferson County Road 36) near Valley Creek. As it continues south it crosses over I-59/20 near the Flint Hill community, and then ends at Old Tuscaloosa Highway (Jefferson County Road 20) near I-459 and Fivemile Creek.

The road is named for the former Hercules Powder Plant which operated near the Dolonah Quarry from 1924 to 1986. The first segment of the Northern Beltline is planned to cross Valley Creek near Powder Plant Road's northern end.
