Quinton, sometimes called Quintown, is an unincorporated community in northern Jefferson County, brushing the Walker County line at its western edge. The Quinton Cemetery lies west of town in Walker County.

The Quinton Post Office (ZIP code 35130) opened on March 27, 1888.
