Rodney C. Abbott (born in Birmingham; died March 24, 2011 in Birmingham) was a computer technician and the husband of Birmingham City Council member Valerie Abbott.

Abbott, the son of Thomas W. and Emily B. Abbott, graduated from Shades Valley High School and UAB. He worked as a computer technician and was also an amateur musician. He and Valerie had one son, Tommy and three grandchildren.
