The Southern Environmental Center is an educational outreach program founded in 1993 at Birmingham-Southern College. The executive director is Roald Hazelhoff.

The current on-campus center, completed in 1998 in the college's former indoor pool area, includes a 5,600-square foot interactive exhibit hall with a conference room and gift shop. The center also plans and constructs Ecoscape teaching gardens in various Birmingham neighborhoods.
