The Southern Pacific Tea Company was an importer and roaster of coffees and teas founded in 1876 by H. M. Swope. Its store and roastery was located on the 2100 block of 2nd Avenue North.
Swope, a Bavarian immigrant, sponsored a float in the city's 1886 Mardi-Gras parade which was shaped like a Chinese junk.
