The Star Motel (originally the Anchor Motel) is a 1-story, 24-unit courtyard motel located at 4121 3rd Avenue South in Avondale.

In the early 1960s the motel featured television, telephone and air conditioning in every room. In 1982 the motel was owned by Mike Patel.

In 2015 investors Robert Ferrara and Blue Oak Development proposed a $4.3 million redevelopment of the motel property as "Box Row", using repurposed shipping containers to provide small leasable retail and office spaces. The motel building was demolished beginning in August 2016, though the Box Row proposal never came to fruition.
