Susannah Felts (born in Nashville, Tennessee) is a writer, writing instructor, and associate editor for Health Magazine.

Felts grew up in Nashville and earned her Master of Fine Arts in writing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2000. She then became a writing instructor in the Chicago Public Schools, Columbia College Chicago, and at her alma mater. Her writing has been published in Quarterly West, ACM, The Sun, Tank, McSweeny's, Pindeldyboz, and THE2NDHAND. She has also written freelance articles for the Chicago Reader, Time Out Chicago and other local publications.

Felts and her husband, Todd Dills relocated to Birmingham in 2007. Her first novel, This Will Go Down on Your Permanent Record, was published in 2008 by Chicago's Featherproof Books.
