Yes, it's true that JC Penney's was an original Eastwood Mall tenant when it opened in 1960. I guess it was not considered an "anchor" because it was smack in the middle of the Mall, not at the end as Pizitz was after the 1966 expansion. Plus I don't remember the Penney's being all that big either. I would guess that the J.J. Newberry's was bigger and that was not considered an anchor either.

Yes, it's true that JC Penney's was an original Eastwood Mall tenant when it opened in 1960. I guess it was not considered an "anchor" because it was smack in the middle of the Mall, not at the end as Pizitz was after the 1966 expansion.
