The Nick is a nightclub at 2514 10th Avenue South in Southside. The self-proclaimed "Birmingham's Dirty Little Secret", the bar has been open over 20 years and hosts local and national rock performers. Over the years, The Nick has become a destination for visiting celebrities, such as Bono and Adam Clayton from the Irish rock band U2, Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots), Creed, Rob Thomas (Matchbox Twenty), Jo Jo (Widespread Panic), Jack Black (Actor/ Tenacious D), Dave Attell (Comedian), Natasha Lyonne (Actor/American Pie), Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) among others. The Nick has a private club license and can stay open past the 2AM curfew.
