This club is the only club or bar in Alabama 24 hours 7 days a week for music and serving. It is also known to be the largest alternative dance club in Alabama usually being the most busy on Friday and especially Saturday nights. Membership is required for ages 19 and up, but customers at the age of 18 are allowed to be signed in by a member of the age of 21 or over. On Mondays and Tuesdays, the club is strictly 21 and up. Cover for anyone at the age of 21 or up is always $5 excluding special events or days. Cover for anyone at the age of 19-21 is $10 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays and is $15 on Saturday. There is no strict dress code for this club. The Quest accepts all major credits cards for bar tabs and cover charges and has an ATM machine inside.

The Quest is a 24-hour gay/alternative dance club located at 416 24th Street South, at the northwest corner of 5th Avenue South. Patrons are required to join or to be signed in as guests by members of the private club.

The club, which first opened in the 1970s, features techno and pop dance music and drag shows. "Ladies' Night" on Saturday features a lesbian show.
