The Ramrods were an early garage rock band formed in 1959 by Jon Adair, Joe Lackey, Butch Fadley, Larry Wooten and Jim McCulla, all students at Woodlawn High School.

The group soon added singer Paul Newman and recorded a few singles that earned airplay on WSGN-AM and other local stations. The group toured on the Southeastern circuit before eventually breaking up in 1964.

The group was inducted into the Birmingham Record Collectors Hall of Fame in 2011.
