Thomas Bentley was the interim City Attorney for Birmingham, serving from 2009 to 2013.

Bentley grew up in Collegeville and is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. He began working in the city's law department in the late 1980s. He was appointed in July 2009 to take over the position held by Lawrence Cooper before Cooper was terminated by Mayor Larry Langford.
