The Transportation Building or Southern Railway Building is a 10-story steel-framed, brick-clad condominium building on the southeast corner of 1st Avenue North and 22nd Street. It was constructed in 1925 as the Birmingham offices of the Southern Railway.

Other office tenants included the DeBardeleben Coal Corporation.

In the late 1990s the building was purchased by retired BellSouth executive Elias Hendricks. He and his wife, Gaynell redeveloped the property with Historic Preservation Tax Credit for condominiums and a Wee Care Academy day care center. The day care center has since closed and the building's ground floor has been used periodically for Democratic party campaigns.
