The UAB Gospel Choir is a 130-voice student gospel choir sponsored by the Music Department of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. It was founded in 1995 by department head Henry Panion and current director Kevin Turner.

Starting with the very first concert in 1995, UAB Gospel Choir has attracted capacity audiences to the Jemison Concert Hall at UAB's Alys Stephens Center. Each performance of the group presents interesting and exciting American musical themes. One such concert was a joint performance between the UAB Gospel Choir and the UAB Jazz Ensemble, directed by Ray Reach (now Director of Student Jazz Programs at the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame).
