Dmitchell05 was born near Chicago, Illinois in 1977. After living in several states, her family moved to Birmingham in 1991, settling in the neighborhood of Mountain Brook. Dmitchell05 attended The Altamont School, graduating in 1996. Between 1991 and 1996, she worked for Village Books (no longer in operation) and the Dande Lion. She graduated from the [School of the Art Institute of Chicago] in 2000, returned to Birmingham and worked in marketing and advertising for Parisian(Belk) and Books-a-Million. Dmitchell05 is currently employed by a Birmingham-area nonprofit organization.
