Vince DiLorenzo
Vince DiLorenzo is the current head football coach at Coosa Valley Academy in Harpersville.
DiLorenzo played for West Rome High School in Rome, Georgia, and at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville. In 1980, he began his coaching career as an assistant at Gadsden High School. In 1984 he was named their head coach, and lead Gadsden to 2 state championships over the next 21 seasons.
DiLorenzo left Gadsden after the 2000 season to be the first head coach at Spain Park High School. Over 6 seasons, he led the Jaguars to a 24-20 record, including appearances in the state playoffs in 2003 (with no seniors) and 2004. He resigned after the 2005 season to spend more time with his family. He was named an assistant coach to Stephen Mackin at Coosa Valley in 2006, and succeeded Mackin before the 2009 season.
DiLorenzo is a single father to three daughters.
