William J. Christian K-8 School is a K-8 school in the Birmingham City Schools system located at 725 Mountain Drive in the Roebuck Springs neighborhood. It was named for former Birmingham Board of Education member William Christian. The principal is Michael Davis.

In 2005 W. J. Christian became the first public school in the state to offer a chess program. The team, coached by Charles Smith, has won Alabama State Scholastic Chess Championships in 2008 and 2011.

An addition to the school, including three classrooms, a band room and a connecting hallway was designed by Sherlock Smith & Adams. Additional work in 2008 was designed by Dorsey Architects.
