Walter Wilson (born c. 1970) is a public works employee for the City of Birmingham and a Birmingham City Schools substitute teacher. He is also a candidate for Birmingham City Council District 7 in the 2009 Birmingham City Council election.

Wilson is a graduate of Victory Christian Academy and a former president of the East Brownsville neighborhood's advisory board. He has been a substitute teacher and volunteer assistant football coach in Birmingham schools. As a City Council candidate he pledges to represent District 7 and work to reduce crime and revitalize neighborhoods.
