The Zoo Connector Trail is a sidewalk along the south edge of the Birmingham Zoo at Lane Park and just north of 20th Place South, creating a pedestrian route from the former Shades Valley High School site at Poinciana Drive to Cahaba Road in Mountain Brook Village.

The sidewalk was funded by the Alabama Department of Transportation and coordinated by the City of Birmingham. The Mountain Brook City Council formally gave ALDOT access to its right-of-way at the east end of the trail in May 2019. It was bid out for construction in August of that year.
