Antioch Missionary Baptist Church

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church is a Baptist church located at 1930 Warrior Road in Ensley. The church was founded in 1939.

In 2012 members of the church asked the pastor to step down and called Willie Jackson as his replacement. The church celebrated Jackson's third anniversary in the pulpit in 2015, but over the next year new controversies arose. Some members claimed that he brazenly pocketed church funds for personal use, replaced long-time staffers with his family members, and insulted the congregation. One member routinely wrote personal checks for unpaid bills.

A petition was circulated asking Jackson to step down, but he refused and threatened to sue those who had signed it. In February 2016 members met outside in the parking lot as the pastor had locked them out of the building. A week later Jackson's family moved their belongings from the church, allegedly taking church property, including serving dishes and a copier, as well.
