Beth Thornley is a rock singer with several soundtrack credits to her name.
Thornley was born in Birmingham at St Vincent's Hospital. She graduated from Banks High School and Samford University, with a degree in music education. She idolized local singer Libba Walker and joined a cover band that toured around the country.
Thornley left the band and moved to Los Angeles in 1996. On the advice of a vocal coach she started writing her own music. She collaborated with her husband, Rob Cairns, on her newest disc which features a track called "Birmingham".
Thornley's songs have been heard in "Dawson's Creek", "Scrubs", "Felicity", "The Chris Isaak Show", and The Perfect Man.
