Charles Ferguson

Charles W. Ferguson (born May 18, 1855 in Summerford, Dallas County – died ) was a city court judge.

Ferguson was the son of Frederick Guthrie and Lumenda Hale Ferguson of Dallas County. He attended the common schools there and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law. He edited the Alabama Law Journal beginning in December 1883 and later became editor of the Blount Springs Herald Weekly which was published for a few months in 1887.

Ferguson became a solicitor to the 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama in 1899 and served for three terms. He was a delegate to the convention that drafted the 1901 Constitution of Alabama and was appointed to the city court of Birmingham by Governor William Jelks on July 18, 1903.
